Comprehensive Patient Monitoring
ZephyrLIFE is a comprehensive patient monitoring system for low-acuity wards where traditional telemetry is either too expensive, too cumbersome to deploy or simply not available at all.
ZephyrLIFE makes use of the patient-worn BioPatch that wirelessly transmits the patient’s vital signs to a dedicated workstation. Heart rate, respiration rate, ECG and highly accurate positional and activity information are visualized and updated every minute. This near-real time display of crucial vital signs aides the development of treatment protocols for patients that need to ambulate, are under pain medication or may have previously undetected co-morbidities.

Unique among similar technologies, Zephyr’s wireless data protocols follow stringent military standards for reliability, privacy and security. The central workstation is uniquely designed around the nurse’s workflow – a dedicated telemetry technician is not required.
Monitoring That Makes Nursing Easier
ZephyrLIFE’s architecture specifically addresses the challenging and time-constrained schedule of a nurse on the floor by using an intuitive, touch-screen interface with clear color coding, audible and visible alerts and easy-to-see vital sign and trend graphs.
Alerts are triggered when a patient’s vital signs cross individualized thresholds – allowing for maximum flexibility in patient care. The smart and FDA approved algorithms embedded into the system are proven to reduce alert-fatigue in caregivers. The system adheres to all relevant standards, has FDA clearance and is easily integrated into a hospital’s HL7 infrastructure.

Throughout the Care Continuum
ZephyrLIFE extends this standard of care into the patient’s home following discharge. Using a standard smartphone with Zephyr’s proprietary application allows high-acuity medical monitoring for patients recovering at home. Because of this, patients can be discharged earlier and more safely than before.
ZephyrLIFE’s use of standard Bluetooth protocols allows seamless integration of other medical devices, such as pulse oximeters, weight scales, blood pressure cuffs and glucometers. The aggregated data and alert structure delivers a comprehensive clinical picture to the care team without requiring the patient to leave their home or community.
